To thrive in this new global economy we find ourselves in, you must be able to quickly master hard things and produce at an elite level in terms of both quality and speed.

High-quality work produced = (time spent) x (intensity of focus)

We’re usually distracted during the day so we can only focus on something for 10 or 15 minutes before our attention is hijacked by something else. As a result, we’re not pushing ourselves to go deeper into our work which could produce some amazing results.

Focus on the wildly important and do actions that directly and positively impact the success measurement you’d like to improve. Perhaps the measurement is “time spent in a state of deep work dedicated toward your wildly important goal”.
